Working with Wool
Wool crafting traditions have been handed down through our family for generations. We produce original handmade products in the fiber studio on our farm, using our own wool as well as yarns and fleeces purchased from other producers. We have wool in process at Good Shepherd Fiber Mill this fall and hope to make that yarn available soon.
When our wool and wool products become available for sale we will post them to our online store.
Creating Wool Products
We use this Union Loom from the 1920's as well as a 6-harness Mennonite loom and other traditional tools in our studio to spin and craft wool products such as carpets, placemats and blankets.
Up-Cycling with Wool
We cherish the wool sweaters that have been in our family for generations. We value wool clothing or blankets or yarn as well as woolworking tools and that can be repaired and put back into use.
Innovating with Wool
We partner with Penn State University and the PA Sheep and Wool Growers Association to promote research into innovative uses of wool. If you have raw wool you are throwing away and would like to find uses or earn money for it, please contact us!
