Building for the Future
Learning and teaching are core values on our farm.
We learn traditional and historical farming techniques
from our Amish neighbors and from the families
that have farmed this valley for more than five generations.
We host a fiber studio in the farmhouse for practicing and teaching
handspinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, macrame and other traditional crafts.
We process raw wool and produce traditional hand-woven blankets, rugs and mats.
We process sheep's milk to make yogurt, cheese and sheep's milk soaps.
In the future, we plan to reinstall the traditional windmill
to supply water to our fields and install solar panels
to power our tools and reduce our carbon footprint.
