History of Our Farm

We are located in central Pennsylvania, on lands originally part of the William Penn family charter manors. These were hunting grounds known for limestone caves and natural springs as well as mineral deposits. The earliest farming on this parcel was recorded in 1790. Remnants of the original homestead remain part of the farmhouse. Follow our blog as we restore the Scottish method dry stacked stone foundation, uncover a stone fireplace hidden behind walls in the house, and explore the remnants of 1860's zinc prospecting on the property.
